The Bunny Trail on Blue Diamond Hill in Red Rock Canyon Las Vegas is a gateway to a vast network of mountain biking trails. Hikers need not shy away from this however as it's a conglomerate of largely single track hiking trails too. Of which lead to numerous areas of the region. Be it the Bunny Trail or any other segment, do not expect trail markers as this region is entirely unmaintained. In turn, navigation may be faint at times, but trails are still quite good. The immediate upside is, fantastic and bold views of the Spring Mountains and parts of the Las Vegas valley.

    Bunny Trail

This beautiful, low effort trail is a precursor to far more rigorous ones. All of which are chock full of classic Mojave Desert terrain. You'll notice geology here not typically seen elsewhere in all of Red Rock Canyon Las Vegas. Before you partake on this journey, ensure you're parked outside of the gates, as they do close.

Hikers and the like tend to spend longer in recreational areas as originally anticipated. If you're on the Bunny trail or surrounding ones nearing dusk, you may be fortunate enough to witness the ever so common vibrant sunsets crashing into the dramatic mountains outlining the Scenic Loop.

This is one of the few trails beginning from ground level as most others are connectors. Another trail starting from ground level leading towards a different area, is Bob Gnarly. For a complete loop utilizing the Bunny Trail, combining these four connectors makes for a thrilling adventure—hiking or mountain biking.

Whatever time of day or time of year you arrive at the Bunny trail, expect no more than a few hikers and mountain bikers on these trails. Expect peace and the utmost solitude. And that rapid experience of Las Vegas hiking trails engulfing visitors into a new and rejuvinating world. Especially in the cooler months.
